Baltimore Show
With regret we have to announce that we are unable to travel in order to exhibit at the Baltimore show this coming weekend.

last minute issues have prevented the selected members from travelling and unfortunately it has not been possible to make alternative arrangements in the short time available.

The exhibition hosts have been informed of the change.
Please be assured that all customers who had arrangements to meet with us at the show will be contacted as soon as possible, so as to make alternative arrangements.

We apologise to all and hope this will cause as little inconvenience as possible.
Discount change
The discount presently applied to any USA transactions will be lowered to 10% on the 1st April 2008.
The increasing costs of our raw materials, most of which appear to 'oil' linked, are no longer allowing us to entertain the present discount level.

Any orders received before the 1st April or presently on file will be honered at the old discount level.
Announcement
It is probably common knowledge to most of our customers that we have recently relocated the business to more suitable premises.

Also some may recollect our notice we published explaining the reason why some of our customers orders were taking considerably longer to process than we would wish.

Unfortunately the point of resolve of the problems associated with the relocation was probably the wrong time to announce that all was well on the work front.
We did not envisage the backlog at that particular time that had accrued during our inability to work to maximum production level.
Quite simply we were fulfilling orders from stock but unable to replenish due to the over extended shutdown of the Foundry workshop.

One issue we feel without question that may have been handled in a more professional manner would have been the customer communications. We were quite literally dealing with Emails and letters that were over two weeks old and so the problem escalated and worsened significantly.
One tool we have at our disposal is of course this Website and what better way is there of alerting present and future customers of issues we feel should be known to them. We have overlooked the obvious amidst the chaos.

To put things in perspective, this last 10 months have been the most traumatic of all the previous 38 years. Most would expect a difficult period after relocating, but what was to come was far from 'difficult'.

On our commissioning of the foundry equipment we were to find that an inadequate power supply was present, after being assured all was well previously.
Three months later and after considerable expense we were back on track and assumingly functional, at which point the actual melting equipment was found to be at fault, this not previously possible to find until the unit was able to be powered up. Four more weeks were then added to the delay in operations.

This combination of four months of inability to 'cast' and the build up of casting and restoration work contributed to one of the most worrying periods we have ever witnessed.

We can only apologise to those who have been affected by our chaotic period, also for not being informative enough when needed. Those who we have communicated with mentioned that in the main, customers accept delays to a degree, so long as they are made aware of the situation. They then have the ability to evaluate the issue and to either wait or shop elsewhere.
Those who have stuck with us during this time cannot be thanked enough.

It is also worth mentioning that our recent problems are at least able to be rectified over time. Some customers we have communicated with over the last few months have unfortunately had issues in there lives that are quite simply heart wrenching, our sympathy's go out to those concerned. In comparison to those - we really have no problems at all.

This business will always be vulnerable to certain issues, it is inevitable - as we manufacture most items we supply. The vast range of processes required to accommodate the end product naturally increase the chances of some obstacle from time to time - however, most are manageable in a manner that sees little impact on the actual process itself.

Quite simply 2008 could not come quick enough.
We are hoping that our considerable efforts to recover will allow us to re-establish ourselves as the prime manufacturers and suppliers of the highest quality reproduction parts available, along with a service expected from such a well established company as ourselves.

An answer to your shipping problems!
Whether you be a dealer, collector or hobbyist - it is most likely that you would be aware of the ever increasing restrictions being impossed on the transportation of Antique and Sporting firearms.
All the major transport companies from the U.K. have decided that it will now be forbiden to send such items overseas.
This is a problem we faced earlier this year when attempting to send to the USA for the Las Vegas show.
We were fortunate to come across the services of Michael Miller, of whom most would be familiar.

Being a dealer of high quality Arms and Armour for many, many years, Michael has also been involved with the shipping side of things for some time and has been aware of the issues we all seem to be facing. He has injected much effort in order to increase his services to a wider field of customer.

We can certainly vouch for his companies expertise, as we have experienced it first hand as mentioned above. There were even issues with our consignment requiring attention over the Christams period, which were undertaken faultlessly by his team. I think we can safely say he pulled out all the stops when needed.

If you wish to discuss any issues with Michael and his team then they may be contacted by the following methods:
